How to Lose the Few Pounds You Put on During Thanksgiving

So if you followed my journey the past week, you've seen how I put in hard work for 3 days and I got pretty awesome results with the 3 Day Refresh!

I want to pay if forward and help out other ladies who are just like me!

NOOOO! NOT at all, I ate fruits and veggies and there were a couple shakes mixed in there. But the most important thing... I never starved!!! I fed my body things it needed and craved!

3 Day Refresh Review Day 3

Today is all about questions!! ANDDDDD
It was my last freaking day!!!! WOOHOO!! **Im doing my happy dance**

I wanted people to ask me questions because I thought over the past couple days I was giving out alot of info, but I realized that people were still asking me questions. I realized I wasnt covering or being clear enough in what I was writing! 

Question 1: Does the 3 Day Refresh affect your daily activities?

I honestly dont think that it hindered my daily activities at all. I meal prepped the night before which took a half hour to cut up all the veggies. But honestly that is the longest amount of time that I have spent on anything with this program. I would wake up in the morning blend my Shakeology. For my snacks and lunch, I would already have my food packed and in zip lock bags ready to go, and the shakes that come with the Refresh, I would bring the packet and a blender bottle. It was super simple and easy! And dinners took me a total of 30 minutes. Everything was quick and simple. 

Question 2: Is it the same meal plan all 3 days?

This question is iffy. Everyday you follow the same plan, so for example, for lunch you drink your Vanilla Fresh, veggies, fruit and a healthy fat, everyday. They dont tell you "you have to eat spinach as your veggie". You get to choose what veggies you want to eat and there are tons of options of what you can have! Me personally, I did eat the same thing everyday, ONLY because, I didnt want to waste any food, I used what we had in the house and it lasted me the full 3 days!

Question 3: Do you workout for the 3 days?

You can workout if you want to. They tell you that some exercise is okay. I personally didnt, I like to know that clean eating will give you results without working out for 3 days. Also I would come home from work and I would be tried, I knew that I needed to give my body a break! When you do a cleanse it kinda takes a toll on your body and wears you down a little!


Question 4: What is the main purpose of the 3 Day Refresh?

The purpose of the 3 Day Refresh is to cleanse your body from toxins that you have put into your body. Your body knows what should and shouldnt be put in it. For example, my body knows that whole foods like this gives me energy and helps me to remain clear and focused, and that is exactly what the Refresh has done.  The Refresh is there to help you lose the few pounds that you have put on in a short time period. And it is also used to help jump start your health and fitness journey, it will give you maximum results if you do the Refresh before you start a program. 

Question 5: Can you eat meat?

You are not allowed to have meat while being on the Refresh, you will get all the protein you need from Shakeology and Vanilla Fresh. The Refresh is a plant based cleanse, which means you cant have any dairy either. If you are like me, you are probably freaking out because you wont be able to have meat, but honestly dont be! The past 3 days, I have actually forgot that I havent put a piece of meat into my mouth. 

I survived the 3 days and I feel so renewed! I cant explain what this program has done for me and how AMAZING I feel!!! Tomorrow I will be giving my final overview and possibly revealing my BEFORE and AFTER pictures!! Check back!!






Are You Ready To Change Your Life?

I cant believe that its been almost one year that I decided to turn my life around. 

In December 2013, I decided that I was sick of feeling bloated all the time, sick of not eating healthy, sick of not being active.

BUTTTTT, I had no self esteem when I started and no confidence. I had tons of workout programs at my house but I never completed any of them. So when I started T25, I already thought I was going to fail. I couldnt even make it through Brazil Butt Lift and that was only a 4 week program, how was I going to make it through an 8 week program.

So I dove into T25.
I made it through the first week.
I made it through 30 days.
I made it through 60 days.

I completed my first workout program!!

Completing that program changed everything about me.
I now had confidence.
I now believed in myself.
I now had a different outlook on life.



Haley and I just completed our first "7 Day Clean Eating Challenge Group" and it was so awesome! (P.S. Go check out Haleys Blog, its awesome)

We had women in our challenge that lost 5-10 pound in literally 7 days!! How awesome is that?

Haley and I are teaming up again on October 27, 2014. We are going to run a 21 day challenge group. The program is focused on clean eating and short 30 minute workouts. Ohh and I forgot to mention the fitness instructor is smoking hot, her abs are to die for.
We will be bringing you recipes, our personal grocery lists, support, accountability and lots of fun!!!


Think about your life a year from now, 6 months from now, or 2 months from now.
The time is going to pass whether you take action or not.

How To Get Rid Of Dark Circles Under Your Eyes

I'm all about trying new beauty products. I don't know what it is about make up but I'm a complete sucker for new makeup and trying out new brands. I came across this brand from a makeup artist on Instagram who does Chalene Johnsons makeup. I saw picture of Chalene and she looked FLAWLESS but figured, Chalene is a celebrity, I'm sure she spent a ton of money on her makeup to have it look that great. I found out the makeup was called "It Cosmetics".

I tried to forget about the "It Cosmetics" makeup that Chalene used until my boyfriends sister went out and bought "It Cosmetics" makeup and told me that I needed to try this "It Cosmetics" makeup called "Bye Bye Undereye" from Ulta. I almost popped my pants when I found out the same makeup that celebrities wear was right at Ulta!! I was using a "Nars" concealer and a "Smashbox" concealer, both from Sephora and neither were doing the trick. When I first applied both the Nars and Smashbox concealer, my makeup looked great but as the day went on my makeup wore away! And for the dark cycles I have, I can't have my makeup wearing away-- I would look like a zombie!

So I bought this: Bye Bye Undereye that looks like this. I wanted to try it out for myself.

Pretty much amazingness in a tube!!! 

It's actually pretty big and a little bit goes a long ways
The consistency is kinda sticky. So I apply the "Bye Bye Undereye" first and then apply the rest of my makeup and seal my makeup with a powder. After you apply the powder you undereyes aren't sticky anymore!


I also decided that if it worked for my dark circles, it must work for zits and blemishes-- sure enough it does!
I swear this stuff has a secret ingredient






I know I look gross in these photos, I was in a hurry this morning when I was doing my "makeup". When I actually do my make up completely, it looks way better. Here is what I look like when Im fully ready and dont look like a wet dog!



Phase One Of Body Beast Review

I am completely nervous starting this workout program... I still kind of am. haha

My boyfriend actually bought the workout for himself. I have been intrigued by this workout because another coach, Tarah Carr also did Body Beast and she had INCREDIBLE results!!

So if you know anything about me... I love the idea of change but never really like to go outside of my comfort zone (I'm working on going outside of my comfort zone). So anyways, another coach, Jessica talked to me about how she wanted to do it. I decided what the heck, If Jessica was going to do it, so am I! My biggest concern is that I didnt want to gain BIG masculine muscles, I want nice lean and toned muscles. I dont want to look like a body builder, its just not my style.

Body Beast phase one.
Its 3 weeks long and it is all focuses all on building your muscles! Some workouts were a little harder than what I expected them to be but I made it through. The whole point of Body Beast is to create muscle confusion, when you create muscle confusion you body improves more! The cool thing about this program is that you dont pick up one set of weights and do the move, you start with a small weight doing 15 reps, move up to a heavier weight and do 12 reps, and then move up even heavier weight doing 8 reps. It constantly keeps your muscles guessing.

This is about to get real for a second... I am not going to pretend that I can lift all these heavy weights because guess what? In a couple workouts this past week, I was using 1 pound, yes 1 pound weights.

I havent taken any pictures :( I have only taken my before photo, which I am not ready to share those yet!!!


P.S. Another reason I was discouraged to do Body Beast was because Sagi is kind of intimidating and I heard that was cocky.
But I ABSOLUTELY love him! He cracks me up in every workout.

How Much Money Do You Make As A Beachbody Coach?

Do you want to know a little secret about me that I haven't shared with anyone except my family?

You do? Okay good, keep reading then.
Now please understand what you are going read is not to brag or boast. I hate talking about money because growing up, we really didn't have any. My mom was a single parent trying to make ends meet and give my sister and I everything we could, so that we would fit in.

So back to the question, how much do I make as a Beachbody Coach?

It varies month to month and week to week. But, I make enough money being a Beachbody Coach to pay for my STUDENT LOANS every month!!!
You're probably thinking big deal I make enough to pay for my car, phone, insurance, student loans and apartment. Well yeah you probably do and that is awesome! But the money I make being a coach is just extra money that I make aside from nannying. How nice would it be to have an extra $100, $200 or $500 a month that you could use it on bills, vacation or put it away and save it!

Here is what I made for the month of August and the beginning of September! And its all by helping people live a healthier lifestyle and encouraging them!

If you dont know this about me, I've went to 4 different colleges in a matter of 2 years. Yeah scary right? The first school I went to (Niagara University) I went for Hospitality Management. I wanted to be a wedding planner, and as much as I still would love to plan other peoples weddings ALL DAY EVERYDAY, I knew that I didnt want to spend 80 hours a week away from my future family-- so I racked up about $13,000 of debt from one semester there. Went to Alfred University and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh built up more debt (Im not sure the amount anymore because I have paid that off). And lastly decided to go to a Community College and get my Marketing degree and I now have DEBT from there.



Lets be honest for a second, in today's society everyone has debt, everyone is struggling and everyone has a credit card to help make things easier. 

Well I don't want to be that person. Credit Cards scare the CRAP out of me. Every time one comes in the mail, I put it in the garbage IMMEDIATELY!! I dont want to be in debt, miserable because I cant do things that I enjoy! Being a Beachbody Coach gives me that extra cash so that I can get out of debt and so that I do not need to ever use a credit card!

So for all my friends, family, and customers who trust my advice and knowledge about fitness, Shakeology and Beachbody programs... I THANK YOU! Your belief in me is helping me continue to stay on the DEBT FREE path!

So now that I let you in on one of the most personal things in my life, my question for you is...

21 Day Fix Transformation

I'm freaking out as I write this post. I am so nervous to share this with everyone. So bare with me as I write this.

I completed one of Beachbody's workout programs called the 21 Day Fix. It was a long 21 days I must say. Summer is a hard time to stick to clean eating with cookouts, bonfires, carnivals/fairs, birthdays, etc. But that's just an excuse not to do the program because no matter what season you choose to do a program you are going to constantly be faced with holidays, birthdays, goodies and treats. I decided when starting this program that there would never be a perfect time to do this program, so I might as well start it and finish and deal with all the temptations! And holy crap I did, I turned down funnel cake, pizza, chicken wing dip, pasta.. I turned down a lot to be able to finish this program and get the results that I was looking for.

So I showed up everyday, did my workouts and stuck to the meal plans.

I am about to get really personal... Once I finished the 21 day fix, I became super bloated (female problems), I knew that if I took an after picture then it wouldn't be an accurate representation of my progress and hard work. So I let time pass and a few days ago I woke up feeling light and back to my normal self. No one was home at my house to take my after photos, so I took it upon myself to take one.

And I just want to point out that there is ab definition! HECK yeah, I worked my butt off to get that one ab to pop out!

I'm sure you are all wondering about how much weight I lost... this is going to be hard for some people to hear because all they want to hear is that the number on the scale went down. Well guess what?!?!?!?
My first week I lost one pound. I actually took it pretty hard. I thought what the heck. I have done nothing wrong and I have only lost a pound? Others were losing 4-7 pound in the first week. But I kept on with the program, I figured one pound lost was better than nothing. Week 2 ended, I weighed myself again.. and I had gained a pound, bringing me back to my original weight (120 pounds). Week 3 ended and I remained the same weight, 120 pounds. I know that this might sound discouraging to some because I didn't really lose any weight while doing the program, but I gained muscle, that one pound that I went up was muscle, it might be that little ab that decided to pop out! haha

This program has taught me so much about portion control, I was over eating in certain areas and under eating in other areas. Since I used to containers daily and would dump them onto my plate I got a visual idea of how much I should be eating of each food. I am constantly eyeing my food to see if it will fit and be "Fix" approved! It has completely changed my life. 

I really don't know if I would have been able to complete the program if I wasn't drinking Shakeology. I literally had a "cheat" meal everyday. When other people needed to have another meal of chicken--I got to have chocolate, when people were eating hard boiled eggs--I was having my Shakeology. It seemed like a "cheat" meal to me because I was drinking my chocolate Shakeology with almond butter (which tastes like a Reese's Cup)!!! YUM!!!
